Fall is the recommended time to perform your annual aeration and overseeding. This will invigorate your lawn to make it look great, while also helping build a strong foundation for your lawn to be more drought resistant and naturally crowd out weeds. ​

There are two steps in the process: First, core aeration will loosen compacted soil and expose the root zone to more air, water, and nutrients. Second, seeding over your existing lawn with high quality sun/shade grass seeds will help fill in any patches and create a denser and stronger lawn. It is recommended to combine these two services since the holes left where cores were removed are an ideal environment for seeds to germinate; the cores also break down over 4-5 days and cover the seeds to help protect them in early stages of growth. It is highly recommended to water the overseeded lawn at least every other day for 2-3 weeks after the overseeding is performed.

 

Customers can sign up for this service anytime during the year and be placed on the list for scheduling during September and October. Please note that there are a limited number of slots available, so it is a first-come-first-serve basis. A specific date for the service will be communicated roughly 2-3 weeks prior.
